The photos here were taken by Joe Phelan, a ten year resident of Sun City Lincoln Hills. Joe says his photos capture for him and his wife, Rose, some of their best memories of traveling to some 50 countries during the past 20 years.

The Phelans do most of their travel with the Sacramento Friendship Force Club. Joe explains that the Friendship Force is an organization that promotes international peace through international friendships. The friendships are formed when members from one club visit ant other club where they are home hosted by the host club members who also plan a week’s activities of excursions, parties and cultural experiences. Occasionally, the Phelans travel on their own and once four years ago they joined friends from Sun City to tour China.
