Algae a problem in ponds

I live at the 200 block of Cabot Court and I face two ponds. We are having a problem with a green plant which is covering the ponds. I would like someone to come out and come up with a solution to fix this problem.

The wetlands are for the ducks, fish and anything else that lives in the water.

We have to protect the ponds or there will not be anyplace for them to go to catch their food and have a place to swim. If we don't protect the ponds fro them who will?

The green plant is spreading very quickly. Six years ago the whole area was nothing but water. The water was about three or four blocks long. Now we only have these two ponds left because of all the growth that has taken over. We built homes around nature and we need to help when needed.

We did not have this problem last year. I think this is a shame that everyone is ignoring it. If we do not do something soon we will not have any wetlands in Lincoln Hills.

The environment is precious and we have to protect it for future generations. I moved into my house so I could enjoy the ponds and the wild life that I see every morning from my kitchen window.

Please help me find a solution to this problem.

Thank you,

Marlene Wenzler,

Lincoln
