Bypass work to affect local drivers
Traffic on Ferrari Ranch Road east of Highway 65 will be subject to detours, starting today and continuing for at least three weeks, as Caltrans works to set up falsework connected with the Lincoln bypass project. Flaggers will direct drivers where Ferrari Ranch Road intersects Groveland Lane and Caledon Circle, according to a Caltrans press release. Work is expected to continue for three weeks, unless unexpected weather prolongs it, according to the press release. Flaggers will continue to direct traffic through the duration of construction, said Kari Ehrman, a spokeswoman for Caltrans. "We're hoping that maybe we can get it done in two weeks," Ehrman said. During construction, Groveland Lane will be closed between Club Lincoln and Ferrari Ranch Road, and drivers on Joiner Parkway can access businesses such as Home Depot and Target by turning onto Ferrari Ranch Road instead of Groveland Lane. The work is part of the 11.7-mile, $325 million rerouting of Highway 65 around Lincoln, taking off at Lincoln Crossing and rejoining the current route at Sheridan.

Before being critical about the inconvenience caused by the construction of the Hwy 65 Bypass, consider the fact that this project was fully funded in 1989 when funding was withdrawn for earthquake repairs in the Bay area. Twenty years have passed and countless people have died and been injured on overloaded Hwy 65.
Ditto that Curt Campbell, this bypass has been in the works for a long time. I will happily detour...
I agree and disagree. We live on the back side of Moore rd. and Cal trans just put sighns out that they are perm. closing moore rd. effective April 1st. How are we going to get back into Lincoln? The only way will add another 20 min. to my travel time to get my child to school.
I live on Moore Rd. and to inform us a week in advance that the main road to our home is being closed permanently is ridiculous. If they would have finished another route to Moore Rd. it wouldn't be a problem, but because of their lack of planning there is not a convenient way to get to our house. I wouldn't mind a 5 minute detour or a temporary closure of the road. Just give us another option PLEASE!!!
